Instructions for adding cameras
With Nx Witness camera management software, the cameras in the system will be automatically added to the software. However, you can also manually add camera devices by following these steps:

In the Nx Server bar, select “Add Device”.
- Then, enter the IP address, username and password of the device you want to add.
Instructions for adjusting the layout
The Nx Witness surveillance camera management software allows users to adjust the layout of images displayed from surveillance cameras.
- On the main screen bar, select the “+” icon, the “New layout” tab will appear.
- Then, move the mouse and drag and drop the cameras you want to select.
- Adjust the image frame to the desired size and move to the desired position in “New Layout”.

VMS Nx Witness allows users to view an image close-up, helping users not to miss any important moments, effectively supporting the detection of events and unusual signs during investigations.
- To use this function:
- Select the “Create Zoom Window” icon.
- Then select the image area you want to view close-up.
- The selected image area will automatically display in a new window on the screen for clear observation.
Smart event search
- To use this search function, follow these steps:
- Click on the magnifying glass icon – smart search
Select the area where you want to search for actions that occurred during the desired time periods.
The results will be displayed to you in the green bar below the frame. The time frames where the actions occurred in the selected area will be displayed in red.
Review events or operation history
With the Nx Witness VMS software, you can review operations on devices such as: timekeeping machines, control gates, … by going to the main menu, selecting the “Bookmark log” item.
